My Memoirs From A Future Perspective

Dear Diary,
How do I see my life in 20 years?  Very HAPPY!  I'm generally a positive person usually looking on the bright side and giving people the benefit of the doubt.  With that said, I'm also very practical and see things black and white.  I'm not here to predict my future as I don't believe in fortune telling or think it's beneficial to know exactly what the future holds.  I hope that in 20 years I will have loved and cherished each special moment of my life.  I also hope that what ever storm may come my way that I am able to tackle it with grace and understanding.  I hope that I will get through difficult times and learn from them to come out in a better place.  I see my family continuing to make many fun and exciting memories.  I also see my family strong and present in each others lives.  We're going to hold a close bond with one another and always put family first.  I hope and pray that my marriage continues to flourish and we continue to love and enjoy our life together.  I also hope little grand babies are in my world.  Today my baby Van is 4 and I love taking care of my four sweet, beautiful children.  I hope they experience the beauty and joy of having children of their own.  I don't really care where I live or what I have as long as I'm with the ones I love.  I'll check back in 20 years and let you know how things turned out.  Excited for what the future holds!

Ditch Day

Dear Diary,
Oops we did it again!  I checked Jessie out of school early to enjoy a nice lunch together.  We dined at her favorite restaurant, Asaka.  We talked about the upcoming Science Fair, her birthday and all things 2nd grade.  Love spending quality time with my little Joy.  I treasure these moments and will always make time for more in the future!

Rebounding For Fun

I just picked up a mini trampoline to get my cardio in everyday.  It's fun, convenient and easy!  I can now turn on my favorite show and jump for 30-45 minutes.  Rebounding provides a low impact workout and has so many health benefits. Here are a few:

  • An increase in muscular strength
  • Improved posture, balance and coordination
  • reduction in stress level
  • improvement in the blood, lungs and internal organs
  • slowing down the aging process and relief of pain
  • elimination of toxins from the body, weight loss and an overall sense of well-being
So starting jumping today!

Love Day Recap

Dear Diary,
Who cares about Valentines Day anyway?  I do!  Yes, expectations can be high to pick the right gift or make some amazing romantic plans, but I think it's just a nice day to do something special for the ones you love.  I love my husband Jeff and I love my 4 sweet children.  This year we took our kids and cousins to the cove for a little surf then had lunch at the park.  Later we invited my in laws Ginny and Gene to join us for dinner at Avenue Italy.  Jeff brought home flowers for me and the girls and we all exchanged cards and candy.  It was the perfect day!  It doesn't have to be well thought out, expensive or extravagant.  As long as you're with the ones you love, Valentines Day can be perfect and mine was!
