Thankful

Dear Diary,
The love of my family is life's greatest blessing.  I'm thankful for my husband and each of my 4 children.  I'm thankful for the good, the bad and everything in between.  We support each other and know we are always there for one another.  My family is my life, my strength, my everything!

PV Cove

Sometimes the best days are unplanned and spontaneous.  The kids and I jumped in the car, picked up lunch and met Jeff as he walked up the trail for a little cliff side picnic.  Love my family!

Halloween Recap

Dear Diary,
Creepy clown guy, little miss 80's, beautiful devil, a super cute pirate and a yummy blue M&M made up the Lewis Clan.  We went trick-or-treating with the Nitsiotis Family and ran into tons of neighbors and friends.  Love that Jeff loves to get into the Halloween spirit and surprise and scare the kids.  Another year, another fun Halloween!

Loving These Fall Looks

Dear Dairy,
So many cute new pieces for Fall at Blush Boutique in Thousand Oaks.  I love that my best friend knows exactly how to stock her boutique with fabulous and flattering pieces that are stylish and chic too.  Thanks Sherry for letting me play dress up!!!

Gratitude Journal

Dear Diary,
Today I'm grateful for our lingering summer on the beach.  It's almost October and we're feeling the heat and enjoying the sun.  I'm thankful for my family and where we live.  There's beauty and opportunity in every single day!

Baseball

Dear Diary,
My little guy is playing baseball... and he's so darn cute!

I Disagree

Dear Diary,

I disagree with a famous quote from the movie Love Story... "Love means never having to say you're sorry."  I mean it sounds great and romantic, but for me, an "I'm sorry" goes a long way.  We all make mistakes, saying something we didn't mean or regret.  Apologizing begins the healing process.  A sincere apology shows effort in your relationship and shows the person you care.  Whether it's something big or small... it's important to recognize and self reflect.  An apology opens the door to forgiveness and allows you to have empathy.  It's such a beautiful gesture in any relationship to show humility and understanding.  When offered with integrity and timing an apology can be a very critical moment in any relationship.

It's not always easy, but in my relationship with Jeff we always seem to find it in our hearts to do the right thing and be accountable for our words and actions.  What I love about our method of resolution is that we always welcome and appreciate when the other is apologetic and vulnerable.

Celebrating With Friends

Dear Diary,
Can I tell you how much fun I had with my friends?  The best time ever!  We started the night at Dia De Campo for my birthday dinner.  The food and drinks were delish!  Then we walked to the Comedy & Magic Club for Jay Leno night.  He was great as well as the surprise guest... Jerry Seinfeld!!!  What a night of laughs, good friends, good food and good times!  Thanks to Ang for planning such a special night and Michelle, Robyn, Ted, Shawn, Oscar, Jaime, Sherry and John for coming out to join the fun!

Birthday Blessings

Dear Diary,
A few weeks ago I celebrated my birthday with 5 of my favorite people. It was a day of sun, spent with my beautiful family.  When I think of the things I really want, I know I am already blessed with everything I need.  My blessings include my faith in God, Jeff, my 4 kids, wonderful friends, our healthy bodies and a cozy home.  At 45 I can truly say my life is rich with love and hope.  My hope for the future is that I continue to have a positive outlook on life.  I pray for continued good health, patience and the confidence to make the right choice for myself and my family.  What it all comes down to is... LOVE and if you have it and are willing to give it... you have EVERYTHING!
