Gratitude Journal

Dear Diary,
Today I'm grateful for our lingering summer on the beach.  It's almost October and we're feeling the heat and enjoying the sun.  I'm thankful for my family and where we live.  There's beauty and opportunity in every single day!

Punta Mita

Dear Diary,
To celebrate Jeff turning 50, I booked a trip for two to the Four Seasons in Punta Mita.  For 5 nights and 6 days we slept in, laid on the beach, swam, shopped, walked (a lot) and surfed.  We loved the quiet and beauty of the resort.  One afternoon we walked a few miles to town, then took a bus to Puerto Vallarta to shop.  Another day Jeff found a spot a couple miles down to surf.  The food was soooo good.  The weather was warm and humid.  Our room was luxurious and comfortable.  It was a wonderful peaceful getaway and a chance for us to enjoy each other and our surroundings.  Our honeymoon like getaway was worth every penny!  So thankful for our experience!

Breakfast every morning with this beautiful view.
Our beach.

Loved the restaurants.
Loved the ocean.

Green, green, green.

SoCal Roots

Dear Diary,
Southern California has a special place is my heart.  It's home!  Born here, raised here and now raising my children here.  I grew up in the Inland Empire, went to college in Long Beach, traveled around the world and found my way back to the South Bay.  There are so many things I love about Southern California.  I love the weather, beach, people, restaurants, mountains, desert, hiking, and shopping.  I love living by the beach and smelling the ocean air.  I love our community, our schools and church.  As much as I like to travel and see new places, there's no place like the comfort of home and my home will always be in SoCal!
